Dear Mother

You have taken everything away from me and

left my soul bare.

I can no longer afford to speak to others for counsel because you demand all of me.

In my distress,

I am lured by the sweet promise of

awakening to You.

In my distress,

I have come to know the overwhelming love

that you are.

In my distress, I am beginning to touch your ocean of love, mercy and abundance.

Oh dear mother, you have strippSometimesed me naked,

leaving me nowhere to turn.

And yet humbled in this darkness,

I see your face, I feel your stillness, and once again,

I am born a new

from You.
